About Alison Clouston
Profile: Visual artist Alison Clouston works across disciplines to explore our human place within the rest of nature. Her use of materials, both organic and manufactured, with techniques ranging from bush carpentry to new tecnologies, bring science and story into a charged relationship. Her immersive installations, often in collaboration with sound artist Boyd, are sometimes participatory, or performative. She has exhibited in Australian sculpture surveys since Mildura, the First and Second Australian Sculpture Triennials, and Australian Perspecta at AGNSW, most recently the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize 18. She is represented in Australian National, State & Regional Galleries, University & Private collections.
